Oh, I think I read those chapters. It is a BA I'm pretty sure. Or is it a different thing that hasn't been posted? Cuz the one I'm thinking of, Faith hasn't gone evil, and Faith and Willow witness her die in the cemetary during patrol after Willow mentions finding something out about something called the Stargate during a hacking spree. Buffy totally freaks out and calls herself a od or something when a demon attacks and mortally wounds her. She comes back to life int eh library in front of the gang.
Is that the one you're talking about?

Err, not that one. I think it was based on the challenge that story was based on, however. It is where I got my character Nephthys from.
They haven't posted it anywhere. I had seen the challenge and gave it to one of them because they love writing Highlander crossovers (with just about anything), and they decided to pursue it.
Let's see... the first chapter deals with a nice patrol that she catches the whim of an immortal looking over her shoulder (or so I think, considering I know next to nil about it). No one knows anything about the Stargate, but when Buffy realizes an immortal is watching over her, she freaks out. The next two chapters dealt with her being run into by a vehicle when her friends comfront her uncomfortable silence and she runs into Adam, who has come to tell her that her ex-husband Jack has returned to Earth and is currently involved in the Stargate program. That's about as far as I have read... and I just got more tonight.
Okay, I better get going before I'm shooed off or something.

The plot sounds very interesting. Could you inform me (us) if the fic is posted somewhere. I really like to read it. And of course I'd also like to see it here.

I hope you could get your friend(s?) to post it somewhere. It sounds really interesting. I do read non-BA when they are crossed over and it is Buffy/someone from the other cannon. But that's about the only diff. You say it isn't posted already, yet it has been started? Hmmm... maybe you could convince them to post it here or at ff.net or something.
I just had a thought. If anyone knows someone who wants to create a site, but has no idea what to do, maybe they could create one only with WIPs that have not been worked on as promised, or abandoned fics for others to grab or catch ideas from. But hye-it's just an idea so no one has the need to get grumpy. I myself have no idea how to work that type of stuff, let alone create my own site... *sigh* ... not that I dont wanna...

Awww, Goddessa! You are expanding your horizons!
I will do my best. I have a few ideas and such and yeah... so... *stops* I have sleep deprivation (having young child in strange place sleeping at strange times was odd).
I just had to pointlessly comment and say that Goddessa's idea is fantab. I would volunteer, but I'm just beginning to learn all of this stuff. There is a post for bunnies that the members have, right?

Once again OT: Authors can post here their WIP / Unfinished fics if they like. And if you don't have time to post it here, but would like to see someone else finish it, contact me and I'll try to think something.
I had couple of other project ideas I wanted to post here and see if I could find authors finish them (like for Phoenix Child), but once again there was so much time issues. I just don't have time to do everything by myself.

I actually do read non-BA as long as it includes Angel very little, and the Buffy pairing is from the other cannon that isn't ATS/ Although I will read CJS's.
I am also quite new at this. ALthough I have been posting for 13 months now. *cue party music* Does anyone know how (in explainable terms) how to put something on a seperate page altpgether? Does that make sense to you? Cuz I don't know how...
About the fic inspi, what if the snake thingy-magigit in Buffy was in the first slayer herself, like maybe the First slayer was about to die, and her predator sensed the help, so she let it in. Or maybe it was part of one of hte first watchers or maybe one of the Shadowmen. *shrugs* just an idea.

Well... that would work. Perhaps the three Shadow men placed the Goa'uld into the First Slayer against her will and thus she gained its powers and because of that, every Slayer has some collective memory of the Slayers before it.
I think I just confused myself.

Maybe that certain 'snake' was in teh First Slayer at one point. Because of that, memoires from one slayer to another are allowed to be passed on.
Is that what you meant?

Yes, ma'am.
However, it would put into question one thing. The girl got her symbiote without her consent, which would have turned into a Goa'uld. The fact that Buffy received the symbiote in much the same way would also say that she is a Goa'uld, even if the symbiote was a Tok'ra. One of their tell-tale signs is the fact that their hosts take them willingly, whereas the Goa'uld have their symbiotes given without their consent. The storyline would have to change. For example, the First Slayer rejected the demon smoke thing and then accepted a Tok'ra symbiote. Of course, this symbiote may be the eldest one around, too. The Tok'ra have been existence for two thousand years only. So, in the beginning, the symbiote could have been a Goa'uld which "changed sides" after the death of the First Slayer, knowing what she stood and fought for, etcetera.
That was a lot of rambling... my apologies.

So, you're saying that the First Slayer didn't take to the demon stuff that was put into her. But then the symbiote was put into her. Somewhere along here, the symbiote switched sides knowing what the First slayer stood for. And now it ends up in Buffy, her willingness doesn't stand for what the bad guys do though, so now she is somewhat automatically involved with the SGC. Oooh.

Everything makes sense, I guess... Sorry, just woke up, my mind is still foggy. Seriously, Aly, I think you are after something very big. Your idea what happened with the First Slayer and the Goa'uld, and how the Goa'uld became Tok'ra, sounds very interesting and fascinating. Y'know, I just got 'hmmm' moment... What if Buffy doesn't wanna get rid of the icky snake inside her because it (now Tok'ra = good guy, previous Goa'uld =bad guy) was once upon time inside First Slayer, so the snake dude knows so much about the First Slayer that it could give Buffy a lot of information. And, you know how much Buffy wants to keep everything inside her - not talking about her feelings when she is sad or when she is hurting. And now she has someone inside her who knows almost everything as she knows. She can share everything that is going on her life without saying a word aloud. She has 'silent' friend that is listening her when she can't talk with her friends, and she can still pretending to be a brave little soldier when she is with her buddies.

Oh, no, no... you two put it all together. I was just sitting here thinking as I typed... and suddenly the idea became this.
Wouldn't that be something? The entire reason why entire populations are being freed is because of something three Monks did to a poor girl thousands of years before? Irony... in the worst possible sense. I don't think they were thinking what sort of effect it would have on other worlds... thousands of them.

Maybe the monks or shadowmen or whatever had something to do with teh creation of Dawn. like maybe of the same faction or something. Buffy would be back on teh "It's Tuesday and time to save Dawn" truck and a plot can comense.

Well... ;D nice Dawn idea. I think she should be around only for the sake that the shadowmen have someone else's life to screw with.
Seriously, though... maybe part of Dawn was taken from the poor First Slayer. Or something. I don't know.
