What comes into your mind when you look at this pic and read the text? What do you think?
How and when they met for the first time? And why again now?
What was their relationship?
Why did they fight?

This sounds like an AU. Buffy was too young to have any serious relationship stuff in her past. Unless they went to high school together or something.

That age thing depends on what's the BTVS timeline. If I remember correctly Ford is either 24 or 25. So, if this is post-Chosen fic, Buffy is only couple of years younger. Hmm... Maybe they went Hemery at the same time, and they had some kind of differencies or something...
But if the BTVS timeline is something else, before the BTVS finale, then someone has to create a whole new idea for this one.

Maybe they went to Hemery together, and he was her boyfriend during her girly-phase. He found out about the vampires and stuff, and didn't want to see her hurt or something, and they quickly drifted fearing the others' feelings when she came back from the mental hospital... uhuhuh... *shrugs.* Just a tought.

I swear on my laptop that this is the last post I will make in this section tonight (I have one I wish to do in the McBunnies section, but after that I am turning off this machine before I am taunted even more not-nicely).
After watching far too much Stargate for my puny little brain to handle, I am currently deciding whether or not this would actually work in a sense of being a forbidden love story. Buffy wore her heart in high school and perhaps she and Ford were really close friends from their childhood that happened to turn into something more. But, under the guise of peer pressure and perhaps parental manipulation, he was forced to basically "throw her to the wolves" after she returned from the mental hospital. Then their friendship ended and both were left with broken hearts.
Ten years later, they meet again. He is on a secret government mission and she is just someone passing from planet to planet casually researching demon life. Perhaps she followed a demon to its natural world and came across... Lieutenant Ford.
Can he trust her to tell him the truth about what she was, considering he knew all along about vampires, demons and other forces of darkness? And can she trust him after he so mercilessly broke off their friendship under peer pressure? I would imagine that Shepherd and the others may not be too thrilled about finding a human woman completely unscathed on another planet. They would want to test her, study her and ask a lot of questions... questions our dear Ford may be uncomfortable to hear.
Now, before a major war between two races on a planet that they accidentally started (I am just making this up as I go along), they must put their differences aside and work together to find a solution before millions die. Can they work together? Can they overcome their differences? Will they ever be friends again?
Of course, I would see them become more, but that is just the little romantic speaking inside of me.

Your plot sounds very good. You know, we really need to find someone who actually writes these Inspies and Bunnies.
Ooh, that's nice. Very nice... Ford has always been my favorite Atlantis character with Sheppard. So I vote for some romance for Buffy and Ford. ;D

You could always go that way. I say, if she wants to get out of having to answer questions, she could always call Bob, the president, or use her gov ID thingy from teh Initiative. What would thier reactions be to that, and her calling the president "Bob" or something, adn him answering in respect or maybe well-known terms?

I like Ford, too. But I have a feeling that unless someone like Buffy drops into his lap (literally or figuratively), his only chance at romance is an alien-like romance, which is why I am all for this.
Is the president really "Bob"? I am certain her connections with Bob stem from her time in the Initiative project. Perhaps before she was "sworn in" she needed to have one-on-one time with the man who over-saw the entire project which could have been "Bob" before he became president. He could have been CIA or something and knew of the project. I think of the Initiative as something of the NID, but that is just my opinion. Hold it to a grain of salt.

True, and I just said 'Bob' cuz that was the name on Memet's humor fics for the prez. I always though the prez would actually be a cool, neat guy who really cares about stuff and all of the top secret stuff that gets swept under his nose without him realising it is what the NID and Initiative were from. But hey, that's just me.

Oh! So that is where Bob came from. Hmm... I assume that this is the same timeline that Senator Kinsey would have been Vice President Kinsey. The only problem is, Kinsey's first name is Bob. After a little further research, I have discovered that the president was named in Season 7. His name was Henry Hayes. I REALLY hope poor Memet didn't consider "Robert" Kinsey to be the President in the setting of her stories! wiki.stargate-sg1-solutions.com/index.php -- the best Stargate SG-1 site ever. It has information on nearly everything, and has been awesome in plot devices or whatnot. Damn it, this presents a tempting target as well... dang. |

Aly! You had to give me that addy! You're really bad girl! I've been going through that site for hours now, and my mind is pretty much steaming at the moment.  Those who need some SG-1 info about anything and everything, you gotta check that site. You should also check this site too: www.gateworld.net/index.shtml There is a lot of info about SG-1 and Atlantis (and also other scifi series), like episode guides, episode transcripts, images, ships, technology, races etc. There is a lot of very good info that you could use if you are writing Stargate fanfic. |

I am the one whose naughty? Do you know how much trouble I got into when I started checking out your link? I must have been there for hours this afternoon staring at the screen while others were trying to make sense of what I was mumbling or else trying to talk to me. It was well worth it, though. It seems to be giving me more ideas.
I know I have to do another Stargate crossover. The only question is... which one will I choose?

Hmmm... If I wanna go into a long SGC crossover, I'll try it out. But I have little patience, and then I'm pretty sure I would get half the stuff from the show wrong anyways... Uhmmm... I doubt it, but what if Gunn and Alonna were related to him? That could bring AI in. And what if Buffy knew Alonna from 'Anne.' That would tie the groups together even more. So this fic could be a pull between Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Ford. That could be the undertones of angst, romance, and hard decisions. Uhmmm, The name of 'Ford...' if your'e into relative stufff, maybe Ford from SGC, and Billy Fordham (is that his name, i dont think so, but I can't remember) from Buffy S1 is like a half brother or something, being a way that they first became aqucaintences; and Buffy fell for Ford's brother since he wouldn't return the affection. That would explain that if you need to. ...Of course they could have been jsut really good friends, and after the hurts and truths happened when they were younger, they drifted and lost friendship. But hey, whatever floats an author's boat. WFAAB.  |

Err... I do not think that Billy Fordham (sp?) would be connected to Aiden Ford. Perhaps friendly, yes, but... I can see Gunn and Alonna being related to Ford. Perhaps he did not know about vampires beforehand (he knew about Buffy as a Slayer, but thought it was maybe something of a Gang-term and he did not know about vampires) and suddenly met vamp-Alonna.
Gah... I could not do that to Angel. He is beginning to grow on me. If I were to write this one I would just use a nice simplistic angst-filled romance between one set of former lovers-turned-estranged, not two. That would be too much. As said, I could not do that to Angel.
