So, this is my Inspirational Challenge #44. I won't give much more than this pic, so work with it.
What comes into your mind when you look at this pic and read the text? What do you think?
TIP: This is a BTVS AU story
This is a little different challenge than I usually do, and I got this idea when I saw a Buffy-pic from Season 4 (Halloween episode: Fear, Itself). When I saw Buffy wearing that Little Red RidingHood costume, I started to think about the children's story and the Big Bad Wolf. What if I'd do a Little Red RidingHood challenge, but not with the Big Bad Wolf, but with a Big Bad Demon?
Later I change my original ideas, and here is my Little Red RidingHood challenge!
~ ~ ~
How long Angelus has lived in the forest? How many centuries has passed?
What has he done during the centuries?
Does people know he lives there? Has anyone seen him lately?
What our Little Red RidingHood is doing in the forest?
Does she fear him when they meet?
He hasn't had any human contacts (for how long?), so does he afraid her? Or is he trying to scare her with his 'ugly' face?
Can she see through the demon, and see the man with an angelic face?

Sounds interesting. A little confusing, but interesting. Spike (he is William right?) could take the place on the thorne, and maybe the kingdom hasn't done so well. But what about the Little Red Riding Hood part? That will take work. So, she comes to the forest to visit someone... if you are going for a supernatural erson or something, she could always be a witch or something who can talk to animals. Uhm... maybe she is going to Giles, her father/grandfather/uncle/mentor person and stops by because she got lost or it's dark or something? Hmmm... How will we get down to the BA-ness?...

Yes, William is Spike.
I thought that there would be only small part about Angel's past (when he was the prince), and how he have to run away from his home. And most of the story would be telling about his life, and how our Little Red Riding Hood (aka Buffy) would turn his life upside down.
I kinda like that 'talking to animals' idea. And lost in the forest is OK too.
Maybe she is lost and she asks some help from the animals. Then she finds the cabin where Angel lives.
And then what?

As for Buffy getting to the cabin... let's say there is a big storm. Little Buffy gets lost and suddenly winds up at the front door of this place she never saw before in her life. She knocks and collapses into the arms of the person who opens the door.
Angel takes her in, of course.
I can imagine Buffy being quite terrified of Angel at first because of his face, but when he starts showing her his touch of humanity, it really starts to warm up to her.
And, for the sake of throwing a bit of conflict into this picture, let us say that this William really finds this Elizabeth character enchanting (she can talk to animals after all), and goes to a prophetic witch (Druscilla) and begs her to help him seduce this blonde beauty before his brother can have her for himself...
Angel is forced to save her although giving her up will restore his human-ish face, only he does not want to give her up so easily... as he has fallen in love with her!

Ooh, tough choice: safe the woman you love, or get your human face back... What to choose, what to choose...?
Hmmm... How old is she? And how much time has passed after he got his demon face (how much timehe has brooded and planned killing his brother)?

I think Buffy should be at LEAST sixteen. Or maybe a few years older. I am thinking about how old Disney princesses are when they usually fall in love, and I think late teens. I will not place this at any point in the timeline as that seems pointless, but I would say seventeen to nineteen.
Angel has been alone in his cabin in the woods for, oh... two years? Three years? Any time greater than one, because one year is hardly sufficient to build up that cold, hard rage.
Oh, and I was just thinking... Angel could get his "human" face back IF he also gets a happy from his heart's truest desire. Just a little thought...

She could always be young, like 5 or something when she gets lost, and then come back to visit like every week ro soemthing until she is 20 or whatever, feeling thier connection. And when she doesn't come back for a while, he could get worried and find her. If she is sick eh could always go into society to find a cure or soemthing.
