maybe something happened just before this where Frank adn Buffy made a deal (a real gods-be-honest deal) where Frank is really wanting to keep a secret from everything that he just blurts out and stuff where he doesn't tell anyone about her or soemthing. Meanwhile, he's about to be mauled by people thinking he is evil and his conscounce (*how do you spell that?*) finally catches up with him.

Ok. this one had me laughing. I like the idea of Giles trying to do a bunch of odd(and government type) test on poor Frank!

Yeah. What if Joyce got her the dog because Buffy had one when she was real little, and it's the same dog! Buffy would be kind of happy and suspicious. 'Was the dog really talking back to me when I was little? I thought that was just a part of mne and Celia's imagination!' And if you want to spice it up, maybe there is an Agent that she knew, and gets deja vued all the time when she remembers something and then forgets again.

That would be like imagining the puppy with a neutralizer. Or maybe the Agents let Frank run to the west coast to find some alien... and instead he was bought for an eight-year-old girl. After Celia dies, Buffy's only friend in the world is her dog, and the poor dog feels so bad about Buffy's memory being modified that he runs away and gets picked up for her, all over again.

That's a good idea... and maybe her being a Potential, her mind wasn't really harmed or snything. Or maybe she did forget, but things like deja vu comes to her in flashes, and she remembers him after all.

Well, it would certainly explain why vampires scared her to death when she was what, fifteen? She would have forgotten she ever knew about them!

Maybe, when she becomes the slayer, the memories start to come back, and then Joyce shows up with a new pet (who happens to be the one that aparently should have 'died of old age' by now) and everything comes back to her now.
Maybe an alien, not vamps, was in the Hemery gym, and she killed it that way. Bring on Sunnydale and the real problems start.

That would especially make sense if Frank was her West Coast "partner" and the others realize she became a liability after Hemry. Maybe she didn't remember what had happened until after she saw Frank for the second time.

Hmmm... with her 'SPECIAL' status, maybe the MIB take her in as a new agent and Frank her partner, but extenuating circumstances allow her to keep her family and things, but they 'flashy thingy' her mom or anyone involved when they see something. That would kind of explain Pike.

That would kind of explain Pike. That would explain why he did seem to drop off of the face of the Earth... I wonder what they might have done to him, though... sad!

But it makes sense. And that leads to more questions. have any of the scoobies failed to realise that they've seen something? ANd what about at the end? WOuld it be a somewhat angsty end where she is forced to 'flashy thing' them, or are they aloud to keep the memories?
