So, this is my Inspirational Challenge #29. I won't give much more than this pic, so work with it.
What comes into your mind when you look at this pic and read the text? What do you think?
When this all is happening? What's the timeline?
When and where did Buffy meet a Wraith? And how did she killed it? Or did she killed...?
And why Buffy is in another galaxy? Why isn't she slaying anymore?
Is there any chance to get some fluffy romance?
TIP: This is a BTVS / Stargate Atlantis crossover

Hmmm... interesting... what happened to get her out of the slaying gig? Maybe someone or all of the scoobys god killed? If it's fluffy, maybe Angel could come back. (Pretty please!) But what is going on otherwise? Who is she talking about, not being able to defeat your nightmares. That needs a little clarification. Or maybe it is post-'Anne' and this is Buffy moping over Angel, and the enemy is Angelus. Maybe ANgel comes back then?

The nightmares this challenge is talking about are Wraiths. She met one in the past (When? Where?), and now when she is a member of SG Atlantis team, she has to fight against hundreds / thousands (?) of Wraiths.
When she met the Wraith, she almost got killed, and she still remembers / sees nightmares about it. And now she has to live it again - and this time it's even worse.
She knows it is almost impossible to kill a Wraith, so she kinda falls in despair - and she doesn't like it. I mean, she is the Slayer, and she knows that she can win almost everything - at least she can try - but when it goes to Wraiths, she just can't get through her fears.
And about the BTVS timeline: I'm not sure about that, there are so much possibilities... It could have happened after Season 2, or after Season 7 - whatever suits better...

Just an idea...
Post Season-7... after the events of "Get It Done", Buffy has Willow do a spell after she confides to her best friend that she's part demon (after all, the Slayer was the power of the demon). She discovers that this demon is called a Wraith.
There is very little information on the demon, so she has Willow open a portal back to the desert she was in during the previous episode. It is then that she is attacked and nearly killed by the Wraith, and only the timely intervention of a few other Slayers (believing Buffy to be doing something REALLY stupid) come and get her out, but not before giving her the tantalizing hint that "we are one". Buffy can't kill the thing that created what she is, but she does vow to learn more about it. But, for some reason, she's trapped in this world now, and her friends are trapped on the other side. Enter Stargate: Atlantis.
Buffy cannot kill what she's made of. She has to fight to survive in a world she doesn't understand with new allies she knows nothing about to face a massacre she knows is just waiting to happen. Her powers are growing with proximity to the Wraith... and it doesn't help that one of the team members has a little thing for her.
Once again, I was just tossing out an idea. I think it would be exciting to read anything that anyone can come up with... but these pictures are just instant inspiration. I think they are quite useful this way, Crystal.

Wow, Aly, that was a quite good idea
God, I wish someone would write that down - from beginning to the very end.
And Aly BTW, who has the little thing for her?

About these Inspirational Challenges: I liked the idea that if I would create a challenge pic, and put some text there to guide the way where the story should go, it would give a lot of inspiration. We see these pictures very different ways, and they give us different 'images', ideas and possibilities. There won't be two different people who would see these same way. Some people could probably even write couple of stories based on these Inspies. And these pics also give a lot of space to 'operate' the story - you can decide so many things, like the timeline, the characters, the story genre etc...
If this would be a traditional challenge, and I'd give you lot of details, it would probably cage your imagination.

I have seen Stargate: Atlantis exactly once, and it was the pilot episode. I would try someone unconventional for a cute, fluffy romance... the Irish lad's accent is far too adorable!
I only wish I had time to write through it! If I attempted it, I would finish about half of it, and it would sit and glare at me on my laptop along with every other half-finished thing sitting on here.
