McPlotBunny # 7 : HELPING THE HELPLESS
BTVS / Stargate SG-1 crossover
TIMELINE: BTVS – Post-Season 7, Stargate – Pre-Series + Season 1

After Sunnydale’s destruction, Buffy travels here and there. Then see hears about Dr. Daniel Jackson’s lecture about Egyptians and how aliens built the pyramids. She is very interested in to see a guy who really knows what he’s talking about. She knows the Goa’ulds built the pyramids because there is a lot of material in Watcher’s Journals about the Goa’ulds.
When she is sitting and listening the yummy looking Dr. Jackson, she feels kinda sorry for him because no one else seemed to understand his farfetched speculation about those pyramids builders. She feels angry when all those evil, stupid guys laugh at Dr. Jackson’s theories – and the guy knows almost correctly everything he’s talking about!
So, after the lecture is over, and Dr. Jackson is alone in the room, she wants to give him some help. But what kind of help…?

This sounds naughty... but it can be a sweet little longish-drabble, too. Buffy can just walk up, introduce herself with some impressive-sounding title and basically "chat him up" about what she knows in complete Buffy-style. It doesn't always have to be naughty.

It does sound a little naughty, but maybe, after the First has been defeated, she has finally ditched the scoobies who just don't seem to even really care about her but themselves, and goes around doing odd jobs and keeping up with Lily and the portal over there?
Seeing the scientist talk about this stuff might hit her 'suspicious switch' and she somewow ends up as a new member of SG1 or something. Maybe she is a civilian consultant for the place.
Is the portal the government learned to create anything like the one that Buiffy handles with Lily? Maybe there is some ind of familiar place she gets tossed to that she knows personally because she spent time there with Lily.
Is there anyone on the project that she knows-say, anyone related to her or is in ehr dreams? Does she still have her top-of-the-market government card/pass from the Initiative that works?
I have always believed that Buffy is a lot smarter then she shows the scoobies, so maybe she is a computer person better then Willow or has magic for help? Maybe she can fully understand Carter's and Daniel's ;nerd-speak.' She would probably get a long well with Teal'C being a warrior, and O'neil would prbably bond over sarcastic quotes and stuff.

Well, I wasn't trying to do anything naughty - honestly. Cross my heart.
I just tought it was kinda sad no one believed Daniel when he spoke about pyramids and aliens (well, no one else than military...). So, I just wanted to give Daniel some ego-boost.
Goddessa, I think you're right about Buffy - I think too she's smarter than she seems to be. She's been the Slayer for years so she has learned lots of things from Giles' books - maybe even some languages and magic - but she doesn't wanna let anyone know. I mean, she already saves people from demons and vampires, so let someone else search through all those dusty books. And hey, she has reputation to keep: she is perky, dumb blonde because everyone expect her to be.
And about that why Buffy would help Daniel:
She's not the only Slayer anymore, so she wanted to get a vacation - finally see something else than the Hellmouth (any of them...) Or maybe she just couldn't play with her friends anymore - hey, they betrayed her! So, whatever the reason was, she is travelling...
BUT, now she is bored. She still dusts a vampire here and there, kill some demons when she sees, but she's really bored. So, when she sees adorable, cute guy who needs some help, why wouldn't she help. She has finally something new in her life...

It is too naughty! Just imagine... the lights are low after a sweet little slideshow and Buffy appears with the corniest line, "Dr. Jackson, can I help you with your papers..." And thus, the corny-ness begins.
And you are quite right. Buffy has lived her life thusfar. She was told to "get out" by her friends. So, she decides she does not want to share any Hellmouth and goes looking for something new. She finds out that this guy knows the creation of the pyramids and pulls a Giles to determine what he knows.
Of course, he wants to know why she knows this. She wants to know how he knows this. This is the perfect basis for friendship or something else that can someday become completely... naughty.

OK, so this fic is naughty-kind... Hmmm... Maybe Buffy wants to know what he really knows, and if she thinks he'd be trusted, she may tell everything she knows. So, the naughty part comes when she tries to find out what the yummy doctor knows... There are so many ways to fish some secrets...
At first she finds this situation is just really funny way to spend time, but later she thinks that Daniel is really great guy...
And when military comes to find Daniel, maybe he promises to join the cause if he can take her with him.
So, whatcha think?

It is nearly 1 am... of course I have a twisted mind.
This fic does not HAVE to be naughty-kind, but the first bit was... and thus the naughtiness starts. I sort of like the idea of her appealing to him before he even jumps on the military bandwagon.
As for what I have now dubbed "the knowing game", they will just keep surprising each other, and with that comes new understanding, and if she is as bored as she says she is, of course she'll go underground for some research. Hell, she might even be up to traveling around the globe for it.
Yes, Buffy would make a great student, especially if this actually leads to some progress in her life. You never know, this could inspire her to get into Anthropology.

My Plotbunny was kinda short this time, so that gives a lot more space to create anything you like... So this bunny has potential to be whatever it could be.
But it would be really funny to know what could happen when these two really get to know each other. At first he thinks she is just a blonde airhead, and she thinks he is just a glumsy nerd. There are a lot of flirting and something like that. But finally both have courage to tell some deeper things.
So, after the naughty part, there could be some drama, action, adveture...

Oooh, so naughtiness ensues.
Yes, there is a destiny for Buffy and it goes beyond the original meeting in the classroom. Buffy might be inspired to pick up on the Anthropology thing and join the team as an expert, not to mention she'd get to do some fighting. There would be the adventure.
What happens when her friends realize that she's moved on with her life and they want her to come back? There would be the drama.
Action... okay. I am going to stop right there. I think I am going to put my naughty mind to sleep and hopefully soon I can think about this logically and not just a wicked little... oh, I might have to try this after my current stuff.

Aly: I hope you do your current stuff soon and get your mind from work to more work. Lol. Uhmm... She thinks he is cute, but gets curious with the good Dr.'s speech and starts to go into 'slayer mode' and investigates. It would defeniteley be in her interest. Then they talk for a while and spill confusing little details that dont add up. eventually, they spend time together bond and get close. ...Smoochies, spillage, missions, monsters, weapons, secrets, interests, old friends, new friends, possible friends, knowledge, action, maybe a little romance and a lotta humor to go along with it... Hmmm.... I wonder if anyone will do this sometime soon...  |

Okay, I actually am working on this one, seriously.
In fact, I have gone into full-research mode, borrowing everything Stargate I could from my one friend, which has proven to be... well, a lot of nights with Andy sitting next to me complaining I just watch Dr. Jackson far too much. It is hard to get into a character you know nothing about.
Alas, I have seven "chapters" written, eight if you count the prologue. I am basically re-writting the movie, which is fun (and damned hard to transcript watching cut by cut... I finally managed to find an actual non-official transcript, which does not help, either). I probably will not post it until it is closer to being done, because that is just the way I am. I finally got to some of the more fun and romantic parts, but the scene the bunny actually describes hasn't even been "shown" yet. Soon, though. Very soon.
I am actually proud of this one. I came up with this idea that she gets all of this knowledge from the spell Willow did, so that it transfers all of the knowledge of cultures and language and such that has accumulated from Slayer to Slayer to Buffy, and then to Faith and the others. Of course, there are other factors involved.
I am going to stop talking now, or I will talk about it all night, annoy Andy to no end, and then be banished to the office with my little Apple <3. All I can say is, this one really helped me develop a sense with Stargate and if it wasn't for this little bunny up there, I probably never would have watched any of the earlier stuff. Alas, thanks.

 At this rate, the story is going to go on forever... and here I was thinking film and maybe slightly after. I do not know... maybe twenty or twenty five "chapters"? I should have planned this out, but, in typical me-like fashion, I didn't. Oops. |

This is definitely up there for the weirdest thing I have ever written. The part actually in the plotbunny up there is actually not seen until flashback form. The story starts out with Daniel's rather embarrassing lecture in NY. She "helped" him out the year before. By "helping" I mean, ahem...
I actually did something in complete Alyson-fashion - I rewrote things to make them fit for my own selfish desires. I did include the movie and the first few epis in here because, well... that would be the story, albeit what Andy calls my pirated halfway-there love story.
