The blood-magic-is-dark-and-illegal thing is totally reasonable. Maybe he didn't do it though, but kept trying the usual type until he found her right before/after 'Anne.'

Good point. Once Buffy's off Hellmouth, all the Hellmouthy magic stops interfering with Oliver's spells. And then of course he finds her.

Yeah. When do you think he would find her though-how old I mean? If you're looking for 17ish, then S2/3 area where she is off of the hellmouth. But maybe her slayerness sets her apart from the hellmouth itself. If he looked later when she was like 22 or something, she would be in Rome. Or maybe he just used an advanced typ of spell where it located those who are supernatural specifically. Of course, it could always be something 'coincidental.' But I don't believe in coincidence.

Maybe he always knew that there was something else. When she was in trouble, he was feeling as though he should be ashamed for something he never did. When he was in trouble (I'm thinking when he got conked on the head during his first Quidditch match which knocked him out for a week), she had a headache. They were always evident to one another but not until she dies or she leaves does it become apparent that they are connected.
I think it would be better if they found one another when they're younger. Oliver would still be at Hogwarts or have just gotten out. He is about to explore a whole new life when suddenly he realizes that the missing piece of his life is waiting for him. It could happen after Buffy runs from Sunnydale. It could even happen during the events of "Gingerbread", when all of the magical mojo Amy and the others stir around sort of paints a bullseye onto his sister, who is about to be burnt at the stake, giving him a sense of urgency to save someone he has never met.
I don't know. There are far too many options, methinks.

Maybe this happens soon before the epi where Faith killed the guy in the alley. She has a 'sister' and a somewhat abnormal family started with alot of angsty tension between many of them. Faith isn't evil yet. Her mother loves her but they are not quite as comfortable with one another as in later chapters.
Of course, maybe this is going on in the 5th season where Joyce has just gotten sick or something. Maybe Dawn isn't there and the Key was put into Buffy or something and not created into someone seperate...of course, in my own world, there could be a Key and Destroyer bro/sis thing going on of B/A's (Hint*Hint ;D) But that's my own opinion.
Of course, Glory could always be after something else, and her brother comes in when she is super-stressed again or something. Personally, I vote S3's "Anne," but that's just me.

I would prefer it early enough so that Faith is still a good little Slayer, or as good as she ever was. In other words, a pain in the ass but not an evil pain in the... okay. I just want Faith to have a nice role. Please? Pretty please? Non-redemption-y-because-she-had-not-gone-nuts-yet Faith is so much... nicer... right.

I'd be fine with that. I love Faith.

The first and likely only time I ever liked Faith was when Angel, Buffy and the LAPD walked into the precinct and she was there, ready to make a confession. That took a lot of guts and in my mind, that started turning her into the "good guy" all over again. That was my Faith moment.
If Glory was around? Poor Oli...
